Guided Glacier Walks

Regardless of your fitness level there is a glacier adventure waiting for you at both Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier. Join a guided group from either Fox Glacier Guiding or the Franz Josef Glacier Guides.  Your guided walk will lead you on a tour to an incredible world of ice and its spectacular formations.

The fly-in, fly-out heli-hike combines the excitement of walking on either of the Glaciers with the thrill of a helicopter flight. By flying in you are able to immediately access and explore a part of the glacier where its forces work hardest to create spectacular ice caves and arches.
There are even guided eco walks available up the Glacier Valleys to safely explore the area leading to the terminal face without taking on the ice.
