Glacier Helicopters West Coast, pioneered glacier and snow landings in New Zealand in 1970. Since then they have enabled thousands of visitors to interact and enjoy some of the most spectacular wonders of the natural world.
New Zealand is home to spectacular mountain peaks, deep mysterious lakes and creeping, icy glaciers. This is the perfect environment for flying in, walking on the Fox Glacier. The rugged West Coast is hemmed between the wild Tasman Sea rolling in to its western coastline and the vast Southern Alps to the east. It is remote and sparsely populated, boasting two of the world’s most accessible glaciers, the Franz Josef and the Fox Glacier.
- Covered shoes (trainers are fine) or hiking boots
- Bring a camera and sense of adventure
- Clothing - Wear comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for wearing on the snow. Occasionally the temperate can be 5-10 degrees cooler on the snow than it is in the village. Check with the ground-crew if unsure of what to wear
The staff at Glacier Helicopters look forward to being of service.
