Glacier Country Rugby

Under the highest peaks of NZ an annual rugby match is played between the two mighty Glacier Country teams 'The Cunning Foxes' and the 'The Franz Eagles'. In 2011, a most sacred year of rugby with the Rugby World Cup being held in New Zealand,the boys thought it would be the decent thing to invite another rugby-loving team over to enjoy the exhilaration of playing on the New Zealand West Coast Glaciers.

So the Glacier Country Experience Competition was born.  The experience was  trip of a lifetime worth $50k. The prize included international flights, accommodation, transport, dining experiences and a wide range of Glacier Country activities for 7 mates. The challenge was to 'make your own rugby video in a unique location, interesting clothing, tell a story - whatever, just make it entertaining' 10 World Class teams gave it there all to win the 2011 Glacier Country Experience Competition. The Spanish Senoritas, came out on top wining not only a trip of a life-time for their whole team to New Zealand's Glacier County to experience the very best on offer, but also the chance to play against the winners of this year's Glacier Country Cup, the Cunning Foxes.

 As part of this package the Spanish Senoritas played agains our mighty Cunning Foxes up on the Glacier.

To Top the Spanish Teams Fun off while down in Dunedin to watch a pool game they got invited to a game againsts the Nude Blacks.

A massive thanks to all the teams that put their best boot foward and entered.
