Ribbonwood Retreat

We call our place Ribbonwood after the beautiful big tree that grows near our home.  Once common, these trees are palatable to possums as well as livestock and are now in decline.  We planted Ribbonwoods and many other species to attract native birds into our garden.  Maori proverb: 'if you cut the heart of the flax bush, where will the bellbird sing?'

There is a choice of three different rooms at Ribbonwood:

  1. The Cottage - contains a kitchen and sleeps 3 persons
  2. Waiho Suite - sleeps up to 5 persons in two rooms
  3. Baumann room - is a double room
  • Full English breakfast or continental style breakfast included in tariff
  • Unlimited free WiFi
  • Modern new home
