Blue Ice Cafe & Bar
You can achieve gastric fulfilment and then be entertained into the small hours of the morning at the Blue Ice Cafe & Bar. This split level chalet style building has a restaurant downstairs that offers an a la carte menu. Then upstairs after your meal the bar becomes a lively nightspot that is licensed till 3am.
In the restaurant there is a cosy atmosphere with quite tables where couples can be tucked away for a romantic evening, and larger tables that can cater for families and small groups. Children are welcome in the restaurant and smaller portions are available. Be sure to ask about the chef’s latest signature dish and be sure to look carefully at the wine list as you will find a number of award winning New Zealand wines.
There is always a fun and vibrant atmosphere at the Blue Ice Bar and during the summer months bands and DJ’s will help you party the night away. There is a large selection of beer, wine and spirits and you can even order a shot of Gletscher Eis. Bar food and snacks can be ordered and the pizza menu comes highly recommended. So look out for the big yellow building with the blue roof.
